Fees

We understand that you’re considering bankruptcy because you’re struggling to make ends meet. Our fees are affordable and take into account your personal financial situation, including your income, household size, and the type of debt you have. If necessary, you can make installment payments. We also accept payments from third parties.

We work on a flat fee basis. Once we set our fee, that’s it.  Our fee includes complete representation throughout the bankruptcy process, including preparing the bankruptcy petition, appearing at your meeting of creditors, responding to any inquiries by creditors and trustees, and addressing any objections to your bankruptcy discharge.  You’ll be able to reach your attorney any time of the day or night, including weekends. If your attorney can’t talk to you when you call, he’ll return your call within two hours. We know that this is a difficult time for our clients, and our goal is to make it as stress free as possible. Finally, our relationship doesn’t end until your bankruptcy case is closed, and we don’t charge you anything more for calls to answer questions after your case has been closed.

We generally can’t quote a fee until we’ve had a chance to talk with you during a free, confidential bankruptcy consultation and understand the full extent of your financial condition. To be honest, though, our fees are somewhat higher than those firms that advertise bankruptcy for $599. Before you schedule your consultation, visit one of these attorneys.  First, find out if they actually charge what they advertise, or if you have to provide a positive testimonial to receive this fee. Second, see if they can provide this fee because of high volume. You’ll be able to tell when they tell you that you won’t meet your attorney until you get to the meeting of creditors.  After you talk to them, call us. We think you’ll be able to tell the difference immediately. We won’t rush you into making a decision about filing bankruptcy, and we won’t rush you out of our office. You’ll get the personal attention you need from an experienced bankruptcy lawyer every step of the way.

In addition to our fees, you will be responsible for the following fees charged by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and required by the U.S. Bankruptcy Code:

Chapter 7 filing fees: $306.00

Chapter 13 filing fees: $281.00

Credit Counseling Fees: Approximately $5.00

Personal Financial Management Class: Approximately $15.00

Your bankruptcy petition will not be filed until all attorney, court, and credit counseling fees have been paid in full.
